Summary Of Cycle 2 Ordinary Times 34 Sundays

Purpose of sunday readings:
Catholic church has organised sunday readings  to educate christians. There are 3 main readings for each sunday. 1st reading, 2 nd reading and 3rd reading. 3 rd reading is only from Gospels while 2 nd reading is generally from new testament writings from early church. While 1st reading is generally from old testament. All 3 readings are selected in such a way, to contemplate, one aspect of God, towards humans.

In order for you to understand,gradually about God and increase your faith, these sunday readings are organised in 3 yearly cycles. In order for you to get good knowledge of God and for you to develop faith, one has to carefully reflect sunday readings in all these 3 years at least once. The gospels of mark,matthew and luke are generally used for cycle 1,cycle 2,cycle 3;

You can study who is God(Father+Son+Holy Spirit) and how they created this world, why fear,sorrow and disagreements presence in our life and what is the treatment for that,etc..,in a cycle of 3 years.

It is surprising to note, how these 3 reading sets have been selected to pass a God's message.(Some readings are connected with different paragraphs!
Thanks to St pius V and bl Paul VI in orgernising from 1530 and revising at 2 nd vatican council 1968.

Summary of cycle 2 ordinary times

One can get some idea as how sunday readings are organised, which might help to understand the purpose of sunday readings, from the immediate completing cycle 2, which ends 22/11/2015. This will be useful for any person, who wants to get an overview in the beginning of year 2018, when it starts the ordinary time.. Same idea will repeat in 2021,2024..etc.
2 parts can be deduced for the cycle 2 ordinary times sundays.

In my reflection,(you might have a different view), there are 2 parts of reflections for cycle 2:

Part 1

GENERAL CONCEPT OF CATHOLISM

Catholics,believe God created U different to others to live happily. For that U have to follow HIS Will. Church was formed by Holy Spirit to achieve your' happiness!.God extend this human generation thru' married &single vocations. Craving for earth bounds needs making U to sin which lead to fear &sorrow. Follow rules given by God,daily change to realize anticipated happiness. Disseminate your' happiness with neighbour. With Baptism you have become member of church. World is changing every day leading different paradigms for humans. God(Holy Spirit)thru' church direct humans, how to manage this change. Ex: No artificial birth control,no abortion, no euthanasia etc). Catholic believe presence of God,in Holy Eucharastic & sunday mass is obligatory for them. At mass,after verifying yourrself whether U followed God's will,U receive Eucharist.

Part 2:
HOW TO PRACTICE CATHOLISM.

(1)Start seed of God, by appreciating His grace in your' life(2)Make daily habit of encounter Him,start with analysing graces U receive+Rosary(3)Church run by Holy Spirit. Know all commandments that U should follow given by Father-10 comms/Son-pardoning+love/Holy Spirit-church rules upto to date(4)Reflect How your' following God's Will,in family-acting like child/in personal-ready to remove any possessions for God.(5)you have to convert your' talent to skills,by practising,then develop wide knowledge.  By hard work,U contribute that to society, by forming good attitude,for love of God.  when U encounter with God,under above 2,follow cycle of Plan,Do,Control,Amend (means changing U'rattitude-repentance) (to adhere to God's commandments)(6)Avoid 7vices,in your' life.(Sloth,anger,pride, envy,lust,avarice, gluttony)(7)daily enjoy Happy life(new twig).now your' seed of faith is becoming tree(repeat 5 above)

These 2 parts, reflected are repeated in years 2018,2021...etc in ordinary times. This summary will help you to reflect on the sunday readings given in cycle 2.

How To See A Twig In Your Life Tree(essential action of a catholic

Mk (13:24-32) says" Jesus..'..after..distress..sun..darkened..powers in heaven's..shaken..son of man..clouds..power..send..angels..chosen..'Take..fig tree..its twigs..you know..summer is near..before this generation passed away..Heaven..earth..pass..my words..not pass away.."

1.Growing towards Happiness!

We like to see twigs in any given tree. It is an indication that tree is growing!. How do we know that we are moving towards Happiness of our life as guaranteed by God?
How to see a twig in our life? This is a dynamic process. Atleast once a year if you can see a twig, you are progressing. The timing can be reduced when your progress is faster!

2. Under what circumstances a twig will come?
Two basic conditions has to be satisfied.
(1) Enough water and manure has to be there for the tree
(2) Enough sun light has to be there for the tree.

3. Equivalent of water+manure for the tree.

The nourishing factor needed for your life tree is to develop good attitudes!

How to get correct attitude?
Every human in this world is born with at least one talent(special natural ability)
Talent has to be converted to skills(an ability/abilities to do something well, specially because you have learned and practice it.


One talent has to be converted to many more skills.
For example, if you have talent to play. Cricket. First you remove your laziness, and start playing cricket. When you practice more and more, you start developing skills of cricket,in many more areas!. How to field and bat. How to play in different ground scenario's, how to play in different weather conditions etc..etc. Then you gather knowledge about cricket. So one talent resulted many skills, many skills resulted Knowledge to be developed on your talent.
Once you gather knowledge, with hard work you start developing a good attitude(opinions and feelings that you usually have about a subject)
 towards cricket.
The above is similar, as how to develop attitude from any talent.


YOU CAN ALTER YOUR LIFE BY ALTERING YOUR ATTITUDES IN MIND. Words have meanings. It is interesting to note, the weightage factor for each words gives you some important idea, about value of these words to your life.

Assuming each letter in alphabet has a value equals to its sequence:a/1,b/2..z/26etc.

TALENT=20+1+12+5+14+20=72,
SKILLS= 19+11+9+12+12+9=82,
KNOWLEDGE=11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7=
96,
HARD WORK= 8+1+12+4+23+15+18+11= 98,
ATTITUDE= 1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5=100.

You will see the importance of each word.

IN GENERAL beyond your attitude?

Your attitude,will become your thoughts; your thoughts will become your words, your word will become your actions, your actions,will become your HABBIT. It will become your personality. Right attitude produce right actions. When U know your talent is given by God,U develop all steps above for LOVE OF GOD

LOVE OF GOD= 12+15+22+5+15+6+7+15+4=101;

Hence ATTITUDE with LOVE OF GOD will put you top,while hard work& knowledge will get you closer.

Now you will get an idea of manure & water to your life tree.

Next step is how to get good sunlight?

. Equivalent of sunlight!

Sunlight is equivalent to God's grace towards you!. For that we have to follow commandments given by Holy Trinity.(Father/Son/Holy Spirit). When we don't follow the commandment, it is Sin. We should plan personal to ourself, how to avoid sin.

​4.1 Let's analyze the importance of planning!

Good idea is worth of one rupee. Plan for implementing that idea is worth million rupees. Everybody has a plan. When you need to achieve goal, you need to plan, how to achieve that Goal.

Always management of achieving a goal consists of 4 steps
(1)Plan
(2)Do
(3)Control
(4)Adjust

This cycle keeps on repeating,until U reach goal. This is Deming management cycle

4.2 God's management cycle:

Let us analyze how God achieved, his idea of creating humans to enjoy Happiness.

(1) He created man and woman,along with world to enjoy happiness with full freedom and told Adam+Eve not to eat from the forbidden tree, but they ate and betrayed

In broad sense,then God implemented the 1st revised management cycle,God-father gave 10 commandments.

In 2nd cycle God-Son gave pardoning+love

to introduce back freedom for humans, 3rd cycle, Holy Spirit form church &gave you other rules(every time revising with paradigm shift/Living God).

4.3 Importance of managing Paradigm change: Living God concept

How my grand father lead the life compared to my life today is quiet different. For example he didn't have mobile telephones, while I am having now. But there is not much different, the life of my grand fathers pet dog to my pet dog now.  When human paradigm has to be changed to have a dynamic human generation, to have a wonderful world created by God. Otherwise my sons life will be same as my life lead to monotonous generation. Living God in HIS own wisdom, change the paradigm of humans, to make humans more efficient than before. There should be a mechanism of God to express HIS will, with regard to morality of humans. The mechanism is by invisible Holy Spirit to visible pope. There is a very clear guidance given, beautifully adopted by catholic church,where other Christian denominations,does not have!.

4.4 Need to manage paradigm shift and continuation of THE NEW TESTAMENT:

The new testament consist of histories of life of Jesus/a history of early church-ACT OF APOSTELS/ letters written by leaders of early church apostle Paul & various other 1st century christians/ final book of new testament,REVELATION-called apocalptic literature, referring to end time prophecies.

(Number of new testament books as at now is 27)

HISTORY- gospels(life of Jesus) MATTHEW/MARK/LUKE/JOHN; LIFE OF EARLY CHURCH- acts of apostels; letters PAUL'S LETTERS; Romans,1&2 corinthians,galatians,ephesians,philippians,colossians,1& 2 thessalonians,1&2 Timothy,Titus,philemon,
General letters: Hebrews,James,1&2 peter,1,2&3 John,Jude
APOCALYPSE(future events)- Revelations.

"there are about 23 doc, in the new testament(after church established by Holy Spirit). This is continuing in the LIVING CHURCH.

Why it is necessary?

 For ex:

One can argue,If I am suffering with cancer with unbearable pain, Euthanasia is good. Another case some can argue abortion is good, since you are not killing a living person. Some can argue test tube child is bad. As a church, there should be a process to guide people what is morally good. Similarly church, under infallibility of Pope declare certain things.

4.5 Important rules declared by Holy Spirit

Church has been formed by Holy Spirit: following important changes are made by Holy Spirit.
(1)Open to whole world(cast-less)
(2)No circumscion and no restriction to eat Pork (Jesus+all apostles were circumscised and did not eat pork)
(From above 1 and 2, became universal, church is open to the whole world)

About no restriction on eating pork - 1 Cor 10:25.

(3)Saints+purgetory concepts introduced. Conceptually,saints+purgatory comes from introduction of free will(ability to choose,independent of God)after Jesus to human!

(4)Holy Mary's concepts(immaculate conception+assumption to heaven) introduced.

(5) Artificial birth controled+abortion+Euthanasia prohibited(manage the morality of human's)

4.6. Finally to be avail with God's grace, what we should do?

Practically you have to follow all rules to follow God's Will. Every day you are required to follow above 4 steps(Deming cycle) and revise your plan to be closer to God(to become sin-less).

5. How twigs come in to your life tree?
Once you have developed good attitude with action for the love of God and every day you reflect how to avoid sins in your life, you will get twigs every day n your life.

Real Dialogue On Saints And Purgatory

What is the actual role of saints and whether purgatory exists, is haunting in many catholics mind. Other christian denomination does not seriously follow the concepts.

Here you will see actual dialogue(via sms) between 2 persons, for you to understand the problem. Person A- is a catholic, where person B was a born Catholic, now strongly following, some other Christian denomination.

We don't believe purgatory. It's not Biblical. Also Mary and Saints aren't alive. They are dead and gone. Their spirits are taking rest in Paradise until Jesus Christ comes into the mid air during the Rapture to take them to Heaven. As such, they cannot intercede for anyone. Only Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit could intercede for us as per the Bible.

Yes,Church was formed by Holy Spirit (Biblical). Word is Word and nobody could add or remove anything to/from it at his convenience. Holy Spirit will never reveal or direct anything contrary to Written Word. No circumcision (Biblical-we are now circumcised in our hearts/minds -not bodies-by Holy Spirit). No abortion (Biblical-it's clearly a murder). No euthanasia ( Biblical-this is assisted suicide and is a sin). Mother Mary and Saints concept (non-Biblical-only the Creator should be venerated/worshipped but not any creation. There is none good but one, that is God-Mark 10:18). Artificial birth control (non-Biblical-children are a heritage from the Lord. Denial is a sin). Open to whole world ( Biblical-Acts 10, Rom 11). Free will (Biblical but it cannot be used for flesh-Gal 5). Purgatory (non-Biblical-once dead there is only 1 or 0, paradise or hell, in between there is only a great gulf-Luke 16:26).
So, we have to believe only the Written Word and Biblical things.

There is no contradiction. There are verses in the Holy Bible to confirm what I have mentioned. Let me send them to you soon. Holy Spirit has done all necessary changes to the Old Testament and those changes are already mentioned in the New Testament. He will reveal to His people (not only to Pope) time to time
time to time the right meaning of the Word but it will be within the framework of the Written Word already given to us. No addition, no subs traction, true meaning and guidance to apply It to our lives only.

Pl let me know about(pork+circumscion)when U get it!. Peter representing pope, under Holy spirit, open church to all nations and implement these changes. On one side paradigm of people changes, on the other side to keep the God's kindom, church has to clarify issues. Pork+circumscion is one example: we need friends+gratitude to friendships(departed ones). Saints+purgatory is one example (further for intercessionary prayers there are many examples from Gospel: cana wedding etc)

Thanks. I don't deny the value of guiding people along God's way. That is the responsibility of every Christian. However, it should be done within the framework of the Written Word. Whatever we say should tally with the Scriptures.

(5)Uncorrupt body's of saints show us the value of this concepts!
(6) Mary and saints alone has limited powers and cannot compare with God. They intercede with God, on behalf of us.

We know God is omnipotent, omniscent,omni presence. HE is totally living.
God always make the paradigm of people dynamic (every time changing). Holy spirit thru' Pope will declare how to manage this change. Church in turn make God living!.
When we stop only with Bible it is static not dynamic.
