St Catherine Laboure-1806/1876 (28/11)

Story of Saint Catherine Labouré

Catherine was born in the Burgundy region of France to Pierre Labouré, a farmer, and Louise Madeleine Gontard, the ninth of 11 children. Catherine's mother died on October 9, 1815, when Catherine was just nine years old. It is said that after her mother's funeral, Catherine picked up a statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary and kissed it saying, "Now you will be my mother."

Her father's sister suggested that she care for his two youngest children, Catherine and Tonine. After he agreed, the sisters moved to their aunt's house at Saint-Rémy, a village nine kilometers from their home.

On January 25, 1818, Catherine made her first holy communion. One day she had a dream in which a priest said to her:” My daughter, you may flee me know, but one day you will come to me. Do not forget that God has plans for you.” Sometime later, while visiting a hospital of the Daughters of Charity at Chatillon-sur-Seine, she noticed a priest’s picture on the wall. She asked a sister who he might be, and was told: “Our Holy Founder Saint Vincent de Paul.” This was the same priest Catherine had seen in the dream. Catherine knew she was in the right place.

On 21 April 1830, Catherine entered the novitiate of the Daughters of Charity, taking the name ‘Catherine’. On the eve of the feast of Saint Vincent de Paul, July 19, the Sister Superior spoke to the novices about the virtues of their holy Founder and gave each of the novices a of cloth from the holy Founder’s surplice. Because of her extreme love, Catherine split her piece down the middle, swallowing half and placing the rest in her prayer book. She earnestly prayed to Saint Vincent that she might with her own eyes see the Mother of God.

First appearance of the Blessed Virgin: 19 July 1830 Chapel Rue Du Bac 140 in Paris

It is 11.30 pm, Sister Catherine (24 years old) wakes up as she hears her name called three times. She opens the curtains of her cell and sees her Guardian Angel in the form of a 5 year old child. He says,” Follow me to the chapel, where the Virgin Mary awaits you”. Catherine hastily dresses herself and follows him to the chapel. The chapel is lit as for midnight mass, but she can’t see the Blessed Virgin. She then kneels and prays. After half an hour her guardian angel says “there is the Blessed Virgin Mary”. Catherine hears a rustle like that of silk and to the left of St. Joseph she sees the Blessed Virgin Mary descend and sit herself on the chair of the Priest. Within a moment she is on her knees in front of the Blessed Virgin. With her hands confidently folded on Mary’s knees. This is the beginning of a two hour long conversation. The Blessed Virgin Mary tells her that God will charge her a mission. In the process she will experience many difficulties. The Blessed Virgin already speaks of bad times ahead. The whole world will be plunged into confusion through all sorts of incidents. The Cross will be treated with contempt, it will be cast to earth. The side of our Lord will be pierced again. The Blessed Virgin says this with a very sorrowful look on her face. Encouragingly though, she adds: “but come to the foot of this altar and here graces will be bestowed upon all, who ask with confidence and fervor. They will be given to the rich and to the poor”.

Second appearance of the Blessed Virgin: 27 November 1830 Chapel Rue Du Bac in Paris

It is 5.30pm, and the Sisters are in the chapel for the hour of Meditation. Suddenly Catherine hears, to her right, the same rustle as before; it is the Blessed Virgin Mary. She stops to the left near the painting of St. Joseph. This whole apparition is conducted in scenes and sign-language. The Blessed Virgin ‘standing in space’. She was dressed in white, standing on a globe and holding a golden ball, with rings on her fingers flashing with lights. An inner voice told her that the ball represented the whole world and that the rays coming from Mary’s fingers represented graces for individuals. Then a second phase: The golden ball then vanished as this apparition changed to represent Mary with her arms outstretched inside an oval frame with golden lettering: O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Mary gave her this instruction: “have a medal struck on this model. All those who carry this medal will receive grace in abundance, especially if they wear the medal around their neck and say this prayer confidently, they will receive special protection from the Mother of God and abundant graces”.

Then it is although the whole scene turns around and Catherine can see the back of the medal. In the center is the letter M, from where a cross ascends with at its base a cross-beam which passes through the letter M and below this the two hearts of Jesus and Mary, one crowned with thorns the other pierced by the sword of sorrow.  The whole is surrounded with a crown of 12 stars recalling the vision of St. John in the twelfth chapter of the Apocalypse or Book of Revelation. Catherine hears:” the M with the Cross and the two hearts say enough”.

During the next year the apparition occurred five times and each time with the same instructions: “have a medal struck on this model, and all those who wear it will receive great graces, especially when worn around the neck”.

Sister Catherine endured many humiliations, but she persevered. It took two years before her confessor, Father Aladel, a Vicentian priest, had a medal struck. The request was approved and the design of the medallions was commissioned through French goldsmith Adrien Vachette. The original name of the medal is that of ‘Holy Mary’s Immaculate Conception’,

only after 7 years was the name changed to the ‘Miraculous Medal’. Because of the many answered prayers, the conversions and the cures, some 10 million medals were sold during the first 5 years. The short prayer: “O Mary conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to Thee”, has since been prayed innumerable times by believers, so that the entire Christianity became familiar with Mary’s ‘Immaculate Conception’.

It was Pope Pius IX who made it a rule of faith. This was received with great joy by the entire church.

Four years later, Mary came as though to confirm this, when She said to Bernadette at Lourdes: I am the Immaculate Conception.

Summary story of Holy mary's Immaculate conception:

On 27/11/1830 Mary gave a Medal to Catherine.Formed around her, written,"O MARY CONCEIVED WITHOUT SIN,pray for us who have recourse to you"Then MARY told'HAVE A MEDAL MADE ACCORDING TO THIS MODEL,EVERY ONE WHO WEARS IT AROUND THEIR NECK WILL RECEIVE GREAT GRACES.FOR THOSE WHO WEAR WITH CONFIDENCE THERE WILL BE ABUNDANT GRACES!"By1842 more than 100million medals distributed. Due to profusion of healing & conversions,MEDAL named 'MIRACULIOUS'. 2/2/1849 Pope Pius9 commence study"IMMACULATE CONCEPTION" & dogma established on 8/12/1854.

Within4 yrs,on 25/3/1858 Mary confirmed her name"I AM THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION" to 14year il literal Bernedette. A lady cannot have such a name! She repeated what she had heard to the priest!.

Uncorrupt bodies of st catherine+ st bernedeth

Both Catherine & Bernadette uncorrupt bodies U can see in France!.

Why so many years (1854) has taken catholic church to establish the Immaculate conception of Mary.

8/12/1854,dogma of Immaculate Conception was defined by pope Pius IX. Why did it took so long? In the course of history of church, this had been the object of some disagreement. Sources of these are 2 fold.1st was universility of original sin taught with such vigor by St Paul in his letters& universility of Redemption in which it seemed impossible to exempt one sole creature, even if she was mother of God. Council of trent shed light on this 1st point when it declared that it did not intend"to include Blessed & immaculate Virgin Mary in decree relative to original sin" with regard to 2 point, church introduced distinction between Redemption of victims of original sin and antecedent "Preservation" accorded to Virgin Mary in view of future Redemption. Despite these reservations this, feast spread gradually throughout church!

How about our members of other christian denominations!

Orthodox were departed from the main stream by 1054 AD, while protestants departed in 1517 and anglicans dparted in 1530. All our departed betherens were deprived of the main dogma's established by the catholic church with regard to holy mary.
Christianity teach us how to achieve a PECEFUL mind(without Anger/laziness& without judging others) then to have a worryless mind(without worry's by handing over such to Holy Mary and saints) then to have a happy mind(removing other 5 vices-Pride,lust,envy,glutonny and avarice). Finally it gives a method of converting your talents to energy to be given for the benefit of the society for the glory of God. Final achievement of the purpose of creation.

In this process, to maintain a worryless mind is having major differences among christian denominations!. At cana God in His wisdom shows us the need to invite Holy mary to our life, for her to intercede with Him, for our happiness. One cannot argue IS IT NECESSARY?, because it is clearly indicated in the john Gospel chapter2. It is similar argument that JUdaism reject christianity, since they feel Messiah cannot come in a normal way. Unfortuneatly except catholics all other christian denomination has develop very far into the reality of involvement of Holy mary and saints, in resolving our fears, worries, sufferings and disagreements.

The un corrupted bodies of St catherine and St bernedeth, gives a clear evidence for living humans, the value of Holy mary and saints, in resolving our worries!.

Presentation Of Mary (22/11) General Version

Presentation Of Mary (22/11) General Version

St Joachim and St Anne brought their 3 year daughter Mary from Nazareth to temple of Jerusalem(80 miles)in fulfilment of their vow,to educate Her by holy women, together with other girls, consecrated to Gods service& She start meditating on how she might please him most.

GOD LOOKED OVER WORLD FOR AN EMPTY HEART-BUT NOT A LONELY HEART- A HEART THAT WAS EMPTY LIKE A FLUTE ON WHICH HE MIGHT PIPE A TUNE and HE FOUND MARY. God look down her lowliness.

A box that is filled with sand cannot filled with Gold.
Mary showed

(1)there is no limit on God's part to His possession of a soul;it is soul alone which can limit HIS welcome,as a window curtain limit light!

(2)more empty soul is of self, greater room in it for God. LARGER THE EMPTINESS OF A NET,BIGGER THE BIRD THAT CAN BE HOUSED THEREIN.

Mary clearly shows, that she has chased away all 7 vices namely Sloth,Anger, Pride,Avarice,Envy, Lust, gluttony

Summary details about vices
The wrong ways of enjoying has come to us from the original sin. At times due to lack of proper guidance,we get attached to things and persons alive or dead. Unless we purified we cannot purely love God with all our heart and all our soul.(Cf. Dt.6.5;Lk 10.27;Jn 15.12; Jn4.7-22)
Sloth: is laziness or idleness. Apart from doing nothing, you can develop idleness through unnecessary judging. This can be of 2 types. Discussing with your friends about bad about others- you go to unwanted areas of analysis, where you create not only spoiling your time but introducing anger to your body. Other type is unwarrented analysis about politicians or crimes in a given country. Analysis is good, but when you try to crave for analysis, you create spoiling your time without any results and start creating anger in your body. For this category of people, should avoid listening to mutimedia, as first thing in the morning!.

Anger: is a strong feeling that comes when one feel, other is wrong or he is insulting or injustice etc. Anger is treated as commiting suicide in catholicism.

SLOTH AND ANGER ARE VERY CLOSE FRIENDS, AND ALWAYS WE SHOULD AVOID THEM LIKE A WATER DROP TO A LOYUS FLOWER. HENCE, JUDGING OTHER IS A ROOT CAUSE TO GRASPH THESE 2 FRIENDS, WHICH WILL RUIN YOUR MENTAL HEATH AND ULTIMATELY PHYSICAL HEALTH TOO!.

Pride; it is too great an admiration of oneself. Pride has 7 evil consequences: boasting, love for publicity, hyprocrisy, hardheadness, discord, quarreling and dis obedience. When all these 7 evil inclination grow in our dealing with God and neighbor,THE DEVIL BALLOONS OUR PRIDE TO MAKE US LOSE EVANTUALLY TO OUR OWN EGOISM.

Avarice: is lead us to be greedy, and ends up with fraud, perjury, dishonesty, perfidy and harshness, in dealing with others. Avarice further leads us to desire and covet things that we should not. This behavior can affect all the 6 goods: NATURAL,TEMPORAL, SENSORY,MORAL,SPIRITUAL and SUPERNATURAL. "Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs the kingdom of God"

Envy; envy start demanding,"WHY SHOULD NOT I HAVE EVERY THING THAT OTHERS HAVE?". We are envious of another's goods and jealous of our own. DEEPLY ROUTED JEALOUSY CAN LEAD TO LOSE HEALTH BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL. Paul says Love is not jealous or envious.

Lust; It is a dis orientated love that seeks not the other but personal individualistic pleasure and satisfaction in everything we do. Lust excludes all personal consideration for the sake of sen sate experience. Lust leads to exploitation of oneself and others or things for our own glory, satisfaction and pleasure.
The pleasure seeking attitude in life cannot help us to partners with God. The desire for pleasure is good thing in life. Life would be sapless without it. What is dangerous is inordinate craving for it. Jesus advocate a life that is simple. He is conscious of the dangers of riches and money.

Gluttony:
This flows from the dis orderly animal appetite, the obsession with food and drink to the point of living to eat, rather than eating to live.

The role of Holy Mary, as seen by Vatican II

In the public life of Jesus, mary make significant appearances. This is so even at the very beginning, when at the marriege feast of Cana, moved with pity, she brought her intercession the beginning of miracles of Jesus the messiah(cf. Jn 2:1-11). In the course of her son's preaching she received the words whereby in extolling a kingdom beyond the calculations and bonds of flesh and blood, He declared blessed (cf:mark3:35;27-28) those who heard and kept the word of God, as she was faithfully doing(cf luke 2:19,51). After this manner the blessed virgin advanced in her pilgrimage of faith, and faithfully preserved in her union with her son unto the cross, where she stood, in keeping with the divine plan(cf: john 19:25), grieving exceedingly with Her only begotten son, uniting herself with a maternal heart with His sacrifice, and lovingly consenting to the immolation of this victim which she herself has brought forth. Finally she was given by the same Christ Jesus dying on the cross as a mother to His disciple with these words"WOMEN BEHOLD THY SON"(cf John 19:26-27).

Conclusions:
Catholic church had many divisions.1000 AD/othodox,1517Protestants,1530anglicans.They departed mainly on leadership issue. Though church preserved to venerate Mary,(like creed),only from 1830 to 1950 catholic church establish clear vision of Role of Holy Mary with necessary dogma's.

1830:mary introduce Miraculous medal thru' catherine laboure
1854: immaculate conception dogma established
1858: mary confirmed immaculate conception thru Bernedeth
(Lourdes apparations)
1917: mary indicate her role, for our salvations(Fatima)
1950: assumption of mary dogma established

This resulted to delay in understanding about Her. God in His wisdom shows us to go to Mary to resolve our fears/sorrows& misunderstandings! and is clearly shown in the apparition of Fatima

Finally, Mary is the show case of practical christianity. God wanted to show about her for us to lead a happy life.
She led an exemplary life for us to follow as a human. Mary detached from all earthly things for us to present ourselves to Her without reserve!.

If we invite Mary to our life, mary will clear all our future fears and sorrows thouh her intercession with Christ. She always take her followers to God, doesnot keep for herself.

Purgatory(2/11)

Purgatory(2/11)

Back ground
Catholics believe that there is a purgatory to cleanse our sins, before going to Heaven. They believes, though Protestants not, that our dead friends may still languish in Purgatory.
Council of trent declared that souls of purgatory are assisted by prayers and alms of faithful and specially so by the Holy sacrifice of the Mass.
Souls in purgatory being unable to help them by themselves or one another, depend solely on the supplication of saints in heaven and of faithful who are still on earth, to satisfy divine justice and so shorten their detention in purgatory, where they must expiate their venial sins and suffer the pains due to their sins, whose guilt, indeed, has already been removed but for which there still left a debt of temporal punishment on account of imperfection in repentance.

2.  What is purgatory?

What is purgatory? How long a soul does purgatory last for a soul?only God knows. Old test 2 maccabees 12:43-45 gives some reference.

3.  Recent example about purgatory:

On the first apparition of Fatima, when lucy(10 years) asked from Holy Mary, where Amilea? Holy mary answered" She will be in purgatory until the end of the world".
That was in 1917 may 13 at Fatima.
1st and 3 rd apparitions give you more understanding about purgatory and the value of sacrifices(go against earth comforts) which is connected to understand more

1st apparition
Lucy, jacinta& francisco saw Mary(1 time) on13/5/1917,at mid day.
MARY: Do not be afraid,I will not harm you/LUCY:where is your grace from?/M:I'm from Heaven/L:what does your grace wish of me?/M:Come here for 6 months,on 13th.Later I will tell U who I am and what I want. afterward I will return here for the 7  time/L:will I go to heaven?/M:yes/L:Jacinta?/M:also/L:Francisco?/M:but he must say many Rosaries!/L:Is Neves in heaven?/M:yes/L:Amilea?/M:she will be in PURGATORY until the end of the world...Do u wish to endure all the sufferings that GOD may be pleased to send U?,as both an act of reparation for the sins with which HE is offended and act of supplication for the conversion of sinners?/L:yes/M:Then,you will have much to suffer. But the Grace OF GOD will be your comfort. PRAY ROSARY EVERYDAY to obtain Peace for world and end war. Note: world war1,started 1914, ended1918.
seers had started to wear a thick rough cord around their waist for penance. They did not remove even night, which often prevented them sleeping whole night. Mary informed them in 5th apparation in september, not to wear the rope in night, so that they can sleep
3rd Vision of Fatima(13/7/1917) to 3 children

Initially Mary told seers to pray daily Rosary and promised for a miracle in Oct,requested to make sacrifices for the sinners. Seers saw Hell.Demons& souls of human shapes, submerge in fire, devils stood like frightful unknown animals with horrible and disgusting shapes. If it were not mary's promise to take them to heaven, seers should have died of fright and terror!.M:you saw Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go!To save them God wishes to establish devotion to My Immaculate Heart in the world!.If human do not stop offending God,another worse war will begin to punish world and future pope has to much to suffer,Consecrate Russia to my immaculate Heart&communion of reparation on1 saturdays, for the peace of world.

note: despite WorldWar2came 1939/1945killing more than15m people,
Russia was consecrated in1952/7/7 by pope Pius12,
Pope st John Paul II was injured in1981/5/13,
communism was demised in1989!

4. Certain SINS that can be committed mostly without our knowledge!

When we follow major laws 10 commandments with no enemies and manage our disagreements with other people,(without anger to develop in our mind)we can have a peaceful mind.

Even with Peaceful Mind, you cannot follow God's Will, if you mind is blocked with fear and sorrow.

Fear and sorrow's of human!

Human woe's comes in 2 forms-spiritual and bodily. That is suffering in the body and sorrow in the mind.
Bodily suffering can be trivial or tremendous, passing or permanent, merely  inconveniencing or totally incapacitating. They can range from headaches and cancer to hernia and hideout injuries apt to arise from accidents.
Spiritual sufferings on the other hand, wound us inwardly, and can do so in ways and to degrees quite as wide ranging as the bodily variety. Here we think of things like worry, loneliness, fear, disappointments, bereavements.

Connection of sufferings to Jesus

Interior suffering like these transform the garden of soul into a little Gethsamene, while the bodily kind look to calvary as their crowning summit.
Scripture says of the Lord who so lovingly endured everything that Gethsamene and Calvary could inflict on him."Son of God though He was, He learned obedience in the school of suffering"(Heb 5:8). OBEDIENCE BASICALLY MEANS OUR LOVING ACCEPTENCE OF GOD'S WILL. This is the paramount lesson we pupils in life's school of suffering are to master at all cost.
A further key lesson in the syllabus is that every suffering, whatever it's shape or size, really forms the part of the penalty that the sins of the world, our own included, justly deserve for having offended the almighty Creator. Indeed that crucified pair who flanked our savior on GoodFriday can be said to represent all of us, since everyone without any exception hangs on a cross carpentered by life's circumstances. But we must at all cost identify with the good thief by saying to the crucified Lord"WE SUFFER THESE THINGS JUSTLY ON ACCOUNT OF OUR SINS" (luke23:41). Yet another key lesson is that we can offer our Redeemer every sorrow and suffering that comes our way as a coreredemptive contribution to the salvation of souls.

For the sufferings,as mentioned above, we should train ourselves to hand over such to Holy mary/saints and try to forget the suffering,so that cheerfulness can be maintained. This is the God's direction through Jesus to us. At Cana, when wine was depleted Mary intervenes first with Jesus. At the cross Jesus hand over us to Mary.
If you cannot hand over such suffering and become cheerful, it will become sin,as you cannot accept the God's Will.

Also once you are cheerful, you may get the God's Will, but not accede to Him, if you  developed 7 vices in your body. This too become a sin. So with or without our knowledge we commit sin, which can lead us to the Purgatory!

5. Love and inter dependency
Then we are capable to love another!.
To understand God loves you, you will see there are many in the society loves you, as well as you love them too. Good example is your parents!. Love involves time, money & your heart. Just telling that I love you, will not help if it is not connected to your heart. For the eternal reason God has shown us, how our parents loved us or how our sisters/brothers loved us, when we were child. When we become adult this will change to identify the God's love for you. Unfortunately we are lacking to understand the change over.

Inability to follow God's will is sin, can lead to PURGATORY after your death. If you make traffic offense,it will lead you to pay fine and become free again. May be to show eternal reasons(1)you are prune to sin(2)you can free again, after the period of purgetory

6. Inter dependency of your life and example of purgatory

To live always you need another person support. You respect your parents/friends who supported to make your  life happy. Once they depart you still love them by using your God given(assets) TIME,SPACE &ENERGY to relieve them from Purgatory.
If you use such time, space, energy(ex alms giving, free teaching etc) without love, you end up in 7 vices, only cheating your self.(7 vices are anger, sloth, pride, envy, avarice, lust, gluttony) And not achieving the purpose of relieving your parents/friends from Purgatory.
Instead if you carry out with  honest love for them, result in a mirror image of your love to God,your creator!. This will lead you  to follow God's Will,to enjoy Happiness in your life even after death too.

In summary Purgatory, allow us to lead good practices in carrying out charity and sacrifice for the benefit of the society, where we do these things are in gratitude for the goodness received by our parents and friends to lead our life happily. Concept of purgatory lead us to discipline ourself.

7.  HELL IS FULL OF TALENTED PEOPLE AND HEAVEN IS FULL OF ENERGETIC PEOPLE

Every person in this world is born with talents. Your life will become cheerful when you convert your talents to energy. Question is how to convert your talents to energy. There are 3 points to achieve
(1) You should be in good health- drink plenty of water, do exercise with a peaceful mind
(2) Happy: follow your religious principles, to enjoy happiness
(3) Efficient: world is ever changing. Now we are traveling with cars, future we will be travelling with helicopters!.earlier we used letters, now we use intelligent mobile telephones with e mail, internet, face book etc. If you don't use the present day technology, will hamper you to convert your talents to energy. Always try to see the the positive side of the technology by not dis carting those.
If you carry out above your talents to be converted to energy to be used by the society!.

8. Enjoy your life/ achieve Happiness

To enjoy love in christianity or any other religion, you should (1)first have a peaceful mind develop without fear and sorrow(2)you start to love respectfully your parents and friends, without expecting a return(3) you convert your talents to energy(4) remember your departed loved parents/friends, carry out charity to relieve them for eternal happiness.

The concept purgatory is very useful for us to carry out actions in above(4).
Only catholics have developed a good process to identify saints and it preserves the same concepts about purgatory!

9. Why most of other christian denominations are silent about purgatory
Most of our separated betherans, departed from 1000 AD to 1530 AD, with Orthodox,Protestants and Anglicans. Main cause of separation was not a theological issue but mainly either leadership or political issue. Though church remedied certain errors immediately with pope Pius V, already separated friends were not reconciled with catholic church and they were moving separately.
Any religion in the world, teach a path to lead your life happily (both here and after death). In this process, the treatment for fear and sorrow in the present life plays a vital role.

In christianity God clearly shows 2 major concepts:
(1) He send His beloved son thru' holy family(still judaism don't believe)
(2) Treatment for fear and sorrow always thru' Mary and saints(most of the other catholic denomination pay less or no attention)

(3) Existence of purgatory!

Catholic church has developed a beautiful process of canonization and purgatory, for the people to be reminded the need of spiritual inter dependency and extend our love to beloved departed thru' various charitable activities or sacrifices, to discipline the living and support the departed.
Unfortunately our departed friends from Catholicism, have not developed such process but they have departed from canonization and purgatory, where it is of paramount importance to practise it.

Conclusion

Canonization and purgatory are 2 process to help us to lead a disipline practical life. Practical realisation can be summerised as below:
(1) Interdependence- in this world we are grateful to our parents/friends who helped us to lead our happy life.
(2) We know that everybody is prune for sin. Hence our departed loved ones may be in purgatory
(3) Purgatory is a temporary place of suffering, until the soul goes to heaven. The Lord will decide how long a soul should be in purgatory.
(4) The living can offer charity and sacrifices to relieve their beloved souls from purgatory
(5) Purgatory practically combines living to departed(dead). Starting point to think the spiritual friends thru' our loved departed ones
(6) Canonization is a beautiful process to identify the dead person is for sure in heaven. The living can easily make a spiritual friendship with saints, whom sometimes saint has lived during his life time, has been heard about him.
(7)Canonisation and purgatory conceptually combined together for us to train ourselves, to enjoy the beauty of christianity. Beauty of God's plan, our creator to lead our life happily!
